Magnus ver Magnusson:

The greatest strongman ever recorded in the annals of mankind, Magnús Ver Magnússon is not only a four time winner of ESPN’s World’s Strongest Man Championships, but also a multi-record holder in other international strongman, olympic and power lifting competitions. His record has no equal.

Magnús Ver was born on the 23. April 1963 in Egilstaðir, Iceland. After indulging in a wider range of sporting activities Magnús Ver Magnússon began power lifting in 1984 and in 1985 and won a medal in the junior European and World Championships.

In 1989 and 1990 he won Senior European titles in the 125kg category. His totals often exceed those of all competitors regardless of body weight. Notable lifts include Squat 400 kg, bench press 274.5 kg, dead lift 375 kg. Totaling 1015 kg.

Semi-retired from competition at the age of 46, Magnus is now sought after by numerous top amateur and professional athletes from virtually every sport whose performance depends upon explosive strength, power and athletic ability.
